We can place the blame of our forehead wrinkles on facial aging, sun exposure, loss of skin elasticity, and repetitive frowning.

Vertical lines on the forehead can be bothersome and hard to conceal with everyday makeup. Skin care routines, minimally invasive techniques, and surgical procedures can help offset the unsettling appearance of deep forehead wrinkles.

How Should I Take Care of My Skin at Home?

Forehead wrinkles are most commonly caused by an excessive amount of worrying that leads us to wrinkle our brow.

One way to minimize the appearance of forehead wrinkles is to limit the stress in your life by taking time to meditate, practice yoga, and reflect.

Other ways to limit the development of more forehead wrinkles include:

  • Applying coconut oil and skin cream regularly to moisturize the skin
  • Protecting your skin from the sun by using sunscreen
  • Hydrating your skin by drinking water
  • Nourishing your skin by eating nutrient-rich fruits and vegetables

What Minimally Invasive Techniques Can Reduce Wrinkles?

Taking care of your skin at home is the first step in limiting more wrinkles from forming, but it is always a good idea to seek minimally invasive treatments to improve your overall skin complexion.

BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a minimally invasive facial rejuvenation technique that, once injected, addresses facial lines, wrinkles, and creases. The neuromodulator works to temporarily relax the muscles that cause wrinkles, resulting in smoother and more youthful skin.

The results of your BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment will be noticeable a few days following your procedure, and no downtime is required.

Chemical Peels

A chemical peel treatment applies a natural solution to the skin, which causes the top layers of the skin to peel and flake, revealing a new layer of fresh and rejuvenated skin.

There are three types of chemical peels—light, medium, and dark—and the type chosen will depend on the level of enhancement requested.

Chemical peels can help lessen the appearance of acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, and sun damage.

The results will be noticeable once the skin flakes off, but will continue to improve over the following months.

You can expect a few days to a few weeks of downtime, depending on the strength and depth of the peel. This downtime will include flaking skin, redness, dryness, and some irritation. Topical creams and lotions can soothe any discomfort.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion uses crystals to gently remove the outer layer of the skin to address common skin concerns like fine lines and wrinkles, acne, scars, and skin discoloration.

Little to no downtime is required following the treatment, and you will be able to notice the results with a series of treatments.

What Surgical Procedures Can Reduce Wrinkles?

An eyebrow/forehead lift can address more serious facial concerns.

This procedure can lift eyebrows that have fallen over time and lessen the appearance of deep forehead wrinkles.

An eyebrow/forehead lift can also improve the appearance of:

  • Frown lines
  • Sagging brows
  • Forehead lines

You can prolong your procedure results with at-home skin care and minimally invasive treatments.
