Women are often advised to wait until they are done having children before considering a Mommy Makeover. While this is the ideal scenario to ensure you enjoy the results for many years, it is not always the case.
We understand that life happens, or you may change your mind and decide you want more kids. Additionally, some women may not be considering having kids for a while but want to enjoy the transformative results of the procedure now.
Whatever the reason for your additional pregnancy, it is tremendously important to consider how subsequent pregnancies may impact the results of your Mommy Makeover.
Pregnant After Mommy Makeover?
If you happen to get pregnant after having a Mommy Makeover, don’t panic.
It is also important to note that there should be no concern about the safety of your health or that of your baby, as your Mommy Makeover does not harm the pregnancy process.
Future pregnancies, however, may compromise or negatively impact your already sculpted body. In the event this happens, it does not necessarily mean all of your results will be reversed.
If you are unhappy with parts of your appearance after childbirth, individual procedures can be performed to restore the original results of an initial Mommy Makeover surgery. Some areas of the body may need an additional touch-up to help you look and feel your best.
Common Mommy Makeover Revision Procedure Options
Tummy Tuck
Considering that your belly has to stretch to accommodate the growing baby, the abdominal muscles may be separated once more, or excess flabby skin can replace your previous slimmer, taut waistline. A tummy tuck can be performed to retighten and reshape the abdomen area.
Breast Surgery
To restore shape and volume to sagging and deflated breasts, you may need to consider an additional breast lift or breast augmentation procedure. Combination procedures are also available.
Liposuction
Extra fat around the abdomen, thighs, hips, and buttocks are noticeable changes most mothers experience after pregnancy. Liposuction can be redone to reclaim your pre-pregnancy body.
Additional treatment procedures, including non-surgical options, can be included in your revision procedure to address areas that may be affected by pregnancy or childbirth. Just ensure that you have completely recovered from childbirth before having another procedure done.
