Over time, our facial skin loses elasticity and becomes loose and wrinkled. JUVÉDERM® XC is an injectable gel dermal filler that is FDA approved to replenish volume and add hydration to the skin. This non-surgical procedure involves injecting hyaluronic acid infused with a small amount of lidocaine (a local anesthetic) in the skin to reduce discomfort during and after your treatment. JUVÉDERM® XC has a soft and pliable consistency, which allows for a subtly plumped appearance. The results are smoother facial wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth that appear natural.

Candidates

A treatment plan is then created to achieve the desired results.

Process Details

The injectable area is cleaned, and a topical anesthetic can be used to numb the injection area. Discuss your personal preferences before your treatment to ensure you are comfortable during the process. JUVÉDERM® XC is administered in strategic locations, either mid or deep within the dermis to smooth the skin and correct signs of aging. Administration can take between 15 minutes and one hour, and the results are usually visible instantly.

Recovery Guide

No recovery or downtime is associated with this non-invasive injectable. The injection site may be tender and experience mild bruising or swelling, but symptoms should subside within two days. It is recommended to take the rest of the day off after receiving your treatment. Strenuous activities and rubbing your face should be avoided for 24 hours following your procedure.

Expected Results

JUVÉDERM® XC is designed to improve facial contours and reduce signs of aging. Skin elasticity is filled, which creates smoother, fuller skin.
